And here are some magical movies we totally recommend!

1. Halloweentown
First of all, Disney Channel Original Movies are the BEST. And among those, we have the OG Halloween movie, Halloweentown. As the title says, it about an AU where all supernatural beings coexist. And of course, the villains all act on Halloween week. Super fun, a must-watch to get you in the Halloween spirit! (Spirit, heh.)
2. Harry Potter
We're pretty sure everyone knows about Harry Potter. And for bookworms like us, Harry Potter marked the beginning of our love for fantasy novels. Its a series which is one of all time faves for all the memories it gave us. From magic to all mystical creatures, you name it, and the movies are just as magical as the books.
3. Brave
The first Pixar/Disney movie that breaks the Princess Stereotypes. Merida is a mood, and her refusal to conform to their age-old customs is so inspiring. Also, the movie is also about a super sweet mother-daughter relationship.
We're still waiting to stumble upon that old witch's cottage btw.
4. Ella Enchanted
The movie is a bit different, but just as good as the book! It's got Anne Hathaway, after all. Its a fun movie to watch and the ending makes us tear up every time.
5. The Craft
The Craft is a movie about the more negative effects of magic. 4 high school girls decide to cast spells to right the wrongs in each of their lives. At first, things go the way they want, but soon the bad aftermaths start (what goes around, comes around); and one of the witches becomes power hungry....
It's a cult classic!
6. Maleficent
We love us a good villain backstory. Though most of the fairy tales are all about finding Prince Charming and happily-ever-afters (bleh), Maleficent definitely gets rid of that idea. It shows us that true love isn't always about Prince Charming and that evil can be in any form It definitely made more sense than all those fairy tales.
7. Practical Magic
Another oldie but goldie, this one has Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as sisters, who are also witches! Unfortunately, the women in their family are cursed: The men they fall in love with will end up dying an untimely death. How they unravel the curse is the rest of the movie. A must-watch!
