Our Favorites: Web Series (Part 2)

1. A-Teen

A-teen is one of the first web series that we watched and since then we have been stalking the playlist channel. Each character in this series is adorable and watching this series definitely made us feel like we were 18 again. It revolves around high schoolers dealing with love, friendship and school and it perfectly balances them. The main reason we were attracted to this series is because it's so relatable. It shows all the struggles and insecurities students face during the most "deciding" period of their lives. It shows all types of students, a good student, an average student and the last ranker, all work hard in their own ways. A good student doesn't always do well and even if a mark might seem trivial to others, it is hard to let go of that 1 point/mark after all that studying. An average student and a bad student also try hard, but it's either not enough or is brushed off as not being "serious". Each student has their own specialties and the important thing it to identify it and choose the most appropriate path for themselves. Thinking about it now, the series perfectly showed this. Some characters were able to reach their goals, while others just took a longer path to reach their goals. We might forget it sometimes though, but there is always a way. Did we mention about the swooning? ( A.M :Doha x Siwoo FOREVER). The romance and friendship are icings of this pretty cake.

Also, the OST by Seventeen is <3.

And jam out to the OSTs here:

2. Yellow

Yellow, one of the oldest dramas from Playlist, is about four friends in a band and their photographer. About the drama, well we will keep it sweet and simple (like the series): it explores themes such as love, heartbreak and friendship. Also, it has a bop OST. It might not seem like much, but its definitely touched our hearts and we totally recommend it.

3. Guilty Secret

The guilty secret

Another fab series from Playlist set in the same universe as the A-teen series, any fan of high school dramas would like this. The highlight of this drama is definitely character development of all the characters. The main lead slowly learns to stand up for herself and let go of her past traumas. The other characters also deal with their own issues, while supporting each other. All the characters are such sweethearts in this, doubt that there'll be so many sweethearts in one place ;).

4. Four Reasons Why I Hate Christmas

A spin-off of love playlist (Pu Reum is the main reason why we watched this, ngl) this short and cute drama follows two couples as they unexpectedly spend Christmas together, and will get you into the Christmas spirit, no matter when you watch it! This drama is the perfect example of opposites attract; in both couples, we have one optimist and one pessimist, and watching them get into the holiday cheer is so fun to watch!

5. Twenty-Twenty

While the previous series (A-teen) were about the last years of a teenager's life, this marks the beginning of the 20s. It is still ongoing and much of the story has not been revealed yet, but it had our attention from the beginning. 20s is the time where we start becoming independent and this series is capturing the struggles perfectly. It shows more about a person's social life once they become or starts becoming independent. It show one character who is completely independent and another character who is trying to become independent and the struggles faced in the process. It might seem a bit slow, but it's shaping up to be a good series with a lot of character growth and we can't wait for the next episodes.

You can watch episode 1 here: https://www.vlive.tv/video/208188

We have noticed that all the web dramas are from Playlist, well can you blame us? ;)

Hope you enjoy the dramas we suggested.
